Adults: ¥270 (¥140) University and High school students: ¥140 (¥80) Junior high school students and younger: Free Please note, Osaka University students are admitted at no charge upon presentation of their student ID cards. |
The fees in parentheses are the per capita fees for a group of 20 or more. Persons planning on bringing a group are requested to apply in advance. |
Important Notes
- Junior high school students and younger must be accompanied by a parent or chaperone.
- No beverages or food may be consumed in Tekijuku.
- Please take off your shoes and wear socks at entrance.
- Do not touch the displays, panels, or the items in displays.
- No loud talking or rowdy behavior.
- Stairways inside Tekijuku are steep; please be careful when going up or down
- Some of the ceilings are low; please be careful not to hit your head.
Requests regarding Photography
For the purpose of preventing accidents and protecting cultural properties, please take the following precautions.
- Please refrain from taking the following behaviers.
- Photography of exhibits displayed panels prohibiting photography
- Photography using a tripod, reflector or selfie stick
- Staying in one place for a long time or obstructing the passage
- Photographic instruction or critique
- Please do not touch interior fixtures, furnishings, walls, windows (including window frames), doors, etc.
- Please be careful not to include other visitors in your photos as this may violate their portrait rights.
- Photography other than for personal use requires prior permission from Osaka University. Please send a request form “適塾等撮影許可願” to kinenkai[a]tekijuku.osaka-u.ac.jp at least 3 days in advance (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, New Year holidays, and other university holidays). *Please replace [a] with@.
- Please take pictures so as not to disturb other visitors.
Even with prior permission, we reserve the right to refuse filming if it is determined to cause inconvenience to other visitors.
